Hello and welcome to Project Multiverse!
Who We Are
We're a community of roleplayers who write within a diverse, shared universe. We welcome the addition of new roleplaying communities, whether they are pre-existing or new, so that our community can grow.
You'll find advanced technology, magic, ancient ruins, precursor megastructures, and more within our setting. We encourage in character conflict between characters and empires, but have no interest in out of character drama.
Project Multiverse is a play-by-post roleplaying community, which means that most of our roleplay takes place on our forums. One player, known as a Game Master (GM, for short) often leads any given story, but players are free to start up a story whenever they'd like.
We're not concerned with who is the strongest or the weakest, but what makes for a fun story. When players can't agree on an outcome, we use a simple, fair dice roll that treats everyone involved as equal. Should players try to abuse this freedom, we'll talk to them about it and try to help them find a better way to do things before taking action, if possible.

Whether you're new to roleplay or you remember writing stories to the dulcet sounds of a dial-up modem, we're happy to have you.
Getting Started
The majority of our out-of-character chatter takes place on Discord. Once you've made a forum account, you'll want to join our Discord server so we can get to know you. Until you've asked to have your forum account activated, you won't be able to post. (It helps us cut down on the spam.)
After that, familiarize yourself with the wiki, chat about character ideas, and find some people you can RP with!
Once your account is activated, you can make an introduction post in this Welcome forum if you'd like - it's up to you.
