The Blitz Cabana

The corner down the street from the Town Center of Obsidian City was an old club that had been established, but things happened and there was a fire and now the place is a smoldering wreck that has long since been abandoned. It was an eye sore to those that had to pass it and the citizens started to complain, but due to projects, those responsible couldn’t get to it in time so they left the deed to any who could deal with it.

The deed disappeared, fortunately too, as on the midday of Sirris 2’s Wednesday, things started changing. A bright light flashed above the old building, catching the attention of those walking, flying or driving. The doors were glowing and then this thing started flowing. There was this line that came out and then scaled the building. It transformed it as it passed over the building, changing the damaged look for something new and very improved. Then, as it reached the roof, there was another flash of light that seemed to “settle” the building in place.

The doors opened, and the sign showed the Blitz Cabana.

"Hey girl, you're not going to believe this!" Came the rather excited sounding voice over the line. Granted, with Kirsa, that didn't take much, as she usually sounded excited by almost anything.

"Try me." The large grey Clydesdale replied, Kolorsha being rather used to Kirsa's wild stories by now. "Someone's rebuilt the Sunset Strip!" "What?" Kolorsha knew the name of course, most local nightlife fans did. That had been one of her regular performance stops before the place had burnt down. "Thought I'd get your attention with that one! Seems it's under new ownership, whoever owns it now is calling it the "Blitz Cabana"". "Wait, you mean it's being rebuilt, right? Last I saw, it needed a lot of work." Kolorsha replied. "Nope! I mean, it's apparently open, girl! Gotta go!" "Wait, wh-" but Kirsa had already hung up. Kolorsha sighed, but her curiosity was piqued, even if it were only starting to be rebuilt, it'd be nice having that place back. Grabbing her bag, Kolorsha headed for the door, wanting to check this out for herself.

"By Equus...!" came Kolorsha's muttered exclamation, the anthro horse raising her sunglasses to get a better look at what was indeed a rebuilt club. Kirsa hadn't been joking after all. She joined the small crowd gathered in front, her height easily putting her over most all there. She didn't push her way through the crowd, but shortly found herself before the club's entrance. "Has anyone gone in?" She asked, addressing those nearby. "Uhh...no?" Came a somewhat bewildered response. Kolorsha grinned "Guess that'll make me the first then!" And before anyone thought to stop her, she opened the door and went in, a brief flash of light could be seen before the doors closed again.

Kolorsha would feel a soft tingle that didn’t hurt as she passed through and entered the club. As the doors closed, it would seem as if the crowd disappeared and on the wall beside the door, there was a sign, NDC: Obsidian City which seemed to be under the sign UNS:Solara City.

There were people inside the club, a few were wearing outfits, one would wear to a nightclub, while others appeared to be one of those bunny girls. Some carrying trays of drinks that were ordered there was one with a board approaching her. “Ok, looks like you're from the NDC, Obsidian City..noted….” That’s when she looked up and gasped. “Oh shit! You're Nytemare! We’ve heard some of your songs! I have to admit we love them! I-we hope you’ll take the chance to play here, but I think the owner will want to meet you first, she’s right over there by the Token changer, you’ll want to speak to the girl wearing only the bikini bottoms, the one with the tail.” She pointed over as she fought hard to control her excitement and giddiness. Clearly, she was pleased that Kolorsha was there.

Kolorsha felt an odd sensation as she went through the doorway, the noise of the crowd and even the scent of Obsidian City itself seemed to just....disappear, for lack of a better word. That was different. She glanced around, having a moment to take in the club's interior before her ears picked up approaching steps. She turned her head toward the sound, an apparent staff member of the club had noticed her arrival. She smiled at the girl's recognition. "Indeed, I am! Always nice to meet a fan, though I suppose introductions will have to wait a bit. I certainly hope I'll be given the chance to, this place certainly has me intrigued!" She replied, and with a small wave of thanks to the woman, made her way over toward the owner, the orange haired woman looking up at the sound of Kolorsh's approaching hooves.

Maylis stared at the piece of technology in front of her, and silently she placed a coin that wouldn’t look familiar into the machine and another different coin came out. “Hmm... Looks like it works, just need to test it on NDC money, and then I’ll know for sure that it works. They use cards, though I have seen coins." Due in part to there not being a song playing, at the moment she heard Kolorsha’s hoofsteps causing her to turn her head and gasp as she saw only breasts before she smiled and began floating upwards at about 8 feet which brings her face to a level with Kolorsha.

“Well hello there, you’re a newcomer, but a familiar one,” She said as the turn and then the settling in hovering caused her exposed breasts to jiggle visibly. “Nytemare,” She said with a smile. “Your fame precedes you, my dear. I am Maylis, as you have been told, I own this club. I must say I am pleased that you found your way here, without me needing to send an invitation. Very convenient,” she said with a chuckle.

Kolorsha flashed the woman a grin as she replied. "It appears so, as I apparently have a few fans even here. Pleasure to meet you as well, Maylis. Obviously, you know who I am. Nytemare, or outside of the stage, Kolorsha, at your service!" She finished, with a small toss of her long, white mane. "Having a new club suddenly appear out of a burnt down building in the center of a city certianly tends to draw attention, my dear! Besides, a new club opening in my home city? That's about as much an invitation as one like me needs!"

Maylis flashed her a big grin as she listened to her speech. “Yes indeed! We’d heard a few of your songs when we’d arrived.” She replied, “I am honored to meet you too, ” she said, smiling happily as she spoke to Kolorsha. She chuckled as Kolorsha spoke next about the Nightclub appearing to be as much of an invitation as any. She just grinned happily “I’m glad you’re here, especially so now, ” she said, then indicated the Token machine.

“This will be how everyone pays for drinks and things of that nature. My Nightclub is special, I’m sure you noticed it correct. How it seemed those outside aren’t visible, nor could you hear them, and I am guessing your senses can’t smell them either? The Nightclub is shall I say specially set up, it’s in its own dimension so to speak, and obviously different places have different currency, so I have set this up, it will accept your money, and deposit tokens in the amount you have placed in, and if you need to exchange the back, especially if we have some kind of contest, the reverse can happen, your tokens can be exchanged for your nation’s money. “ She said, feeling very proud of that technology.

"So, this club is basically in its own dimension? That's new. Can't say I've ever been in a club that's it's own world. I did notice the change, yes, that's what tipped me off that this wasn't actually in Obsidian, though how you managed that I'd love to know!" The grey anthro mare replied.

"We mostly use cards, though there is still physical money excahaged as well." Kolorsha finished, wondering why Maylis was pointing out the currency machine to her; she didn't exactly specilize in magic, after all....

Maylis grinned at Kolorsha as she spoke. “My special kind of magic” She replied simply and nodded as Kolorsha told her what her people had that they used cards as well as physical money. “Might need to update it to accept cards then.” She replied and glanced around hr club as her employees worked hard to get the place ready. “Come, let's step into my office, we can hash out the details like schedules for when you can play your music here, and any other important things to be aware of. “

"That's an interesting bit of "special magic" indeed." Kolorsha replied. "After you, then." She indicated she was ready to follow Maylis.

Maylis smiled and turns soon leading the way to her office. The doors opened on their own as she approached and Kolorsha wouldn’t be able to see devices that seemed to have caused this. “Please sit, trust me, ” she said, indicating the cushiony comfortable seat across from the desk. Maylis sat down and began rummaging through her drawers. “Let's see, I know that’s around here somewhere... Ah, here we go!” She said and picks up a few papers.

Kolorsha would likely notice that the seats were smaller than her. They were built with a human body in mind, but when she sits, she’d find not only was she able to sit, but she appeared smaller, Kolorsha’s head was now level with Maylis’s head.

“here's the contract, and here's the stipulation to how much I am willing to pay, and… here's the schedule.” She said handing all the papers to her side of the desk.

Kolorsha looked dubiously at the indicated seat, it appeared at bit small. Not that that was uncommon, as most seats just weren't designed with her in mind, though it was obvious Maylis had something in mind. The mare took a seat, surprisingly it not only fit her comfortably, she was now looking directly at the other woman across the desk. Well, Maylis seemed to be quite talented with her magic, that much Kolorsha was certian.

She looked over the contract, it appeared pretty standard. Of course, her agent would have to look it over as well, but she didn't see anything out of the ordinary reading it, so for the moment, she was satisfied.

"This is certainly a different perspectiv. Usually, I have to be looking down to the other being. You work some creative magic with what you have Maylis" Kolorsha remarked, as she looked up from the contract paperwork.

Maylis grinned widely like a Cheshire cat as she watched Kolorsha sit down and waited to see her reaction to her magic. She giggled in response before nodding “Yes, I hoped you’d like that effect. I like having that happen so that it gives a sense of equality to those who work here. “ She said to her, “One of the waitresses is small, only about 3 feet or so, but that seat always makes her the same height and she loves it. As for your contract, I understand that you’d have an agent, so feel free to take it with you to show your agent. Once everything is to your satisfaction, just sign up, and you’ll be paid the indicated amount, and I’m willing to extend your VIP status to any friends you might bring along, or have named in advance.

"I can imagine why she would!" Kolorsha replied, nodding at the rest of what Maylis said. "I'll review this with him and we'll let you know, though I don't think you have to worry about me not playing here, Maylis! For the moment though...." Kolorsha started, her hand grasping the DEF/music player device she always had on her, she activated her DEF, a bit of illusion magic tailored specifically for her. The short hair covering her body darkened, turning the grey mare black, her eyes changing from their normal electric blue to red, and her mane, tail and feathering above her hooves and hands suddenly erupting into fire, with an audible SNAP! Kolorsha, or as she was known like this, Nytemare, grinned, giving a little toss of her head, her now fiery mane following. "....I think it's time I met my fans, wouldn't you say?"

Maylis felt pleased that Kolorsha agreed to take the contract to her agent. And she felt the excitement that someone as famous as her would-be singing at her club. She was pleased with her words and watched with interest as she began to change in front of her. She looked different demonic than the being before, though she could tell it was an illusion, but also a technology that helped her do it. Maylis was familiar with the DEF devices, though neither she nor her offspring needed it she knew it had its uses. “Indeed, I agree it is time you meet your fans, and I suspect you’ll gain new ones too, from two nations.” She said to her as she got up from her seat.

The queen of the club led the goddess of music from her office where the two began hearing music, a song that was entering its end phase before she moved to the stage. “Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a special treat for you all, for tonight, Nytemare has agreed to come and meet you all and play one of her greatest hits. I know you’ll enjoy it as much as I will!” She said and moved off so Kolorsha can take the stage.

Kolorsha grinned, flipping her fiery mane to one side as Maylis moved off. She even heard some cheering from the gathered crowd, apparently there were a few fans of Nytemare here already! "Quite right! And if I'm not mistaken, it sounds like I've a few fans here already!" She said, the applause and cheers increased slightly. "Well, i'm going to try to have some more before I'm through here!" She finished, launching into one of her crowd pleasing songs, "Obsidian nights"

Maylis smiled as she watched and observed Kolorsha as she played her song. The demoness felt a tingle that told her she liked the Obsidian Nights song and she hoped to continue to play it in her club. She also thought of the new partnership she formed. If I can get more like her to play here, this club will be even more popular. We’re only just entering the NDC market, but it will happen, just need to be careful, I wonder if Draco has heard of Nytemare. Maybe she’s heard of others. I better make sure

Her smile widened as she watched her patrons dance to the song and had fun. Yes, this will be very fruitful She thought as a waitress handed her a drink which she sipped.
