Carmelian Expanse - 009015:5 (Eselberg Station, Kalis System)
Various Places

A content purring was not the most unusual sound one could find on Eselberg station. The sound of a brush working its way through fur and hair was not either. The unusualness of both was it occurring in the office of the station, and at the moment, system administrator of both Eselberg Station, and the Kalis system as a whole. More amusing is the fact that the one purring, also happened to be the actual owner of the station. Elenor was actually enjoying a little 'me' time with the woman who had grown to be a bit of a friend to the nekomata, Setsuna Therwood. Adding that Setsuna was a nekomata herself, and so had a very good idea of those perfect spots to apply the brush to help with it, only made the purring more apt.

Elsewhere, a shuttle began its approach. It was a private shuttle, as opposed to the usual public craft that flew in and out of the station on a regular basis. Emblazoned on the side, was the emblem of one of the Holy Orders that served the Church of the Heavenly Host. While it was an unusual shuttle for the station crew to receive, they merely took it in stride and expertly directed it into place, watching as it settled onto the docking clamps and was lowered out of sight and mind, at least for the moment, so that other shuttles could enter as well.

Inside the office, Elenor Herrick, shifted her head slightly to the left and down, her ear barely twitching as the brush gently pressed against it and was dragged with the fur to help pull off any gunk. "Gods Sets... I thought you said you weren't born as a nekomata. So how is it you know just how to make me purr like a damned fool with that brush?" She asked, eyes closed, her voice oscillating as she spoke due to the ongoing purring at the base of her throat.

Whilst in the shuttle, the passengers stood up as the shuttle door light flicked from red to green, indicating a safe atmosphere. They were all in rather tight outfits, each designed to be reminiscent of a nun's habit, but offset by the combat web kit over it, and the bulges of protective padding. Not that it did anything to hide the feminine form of each of its wearers. The one that was wearing the more, exotic of such attire, almost like it had been made to actively flaunt her form, once more held the old-school velium missive which rested in her hand. When her companion, Hephzibah had handed it to her, the War Nun Saint had blinked in surprise.

It was rare for someone in the Holy Order to be handed a missive by the Heavenly Host, much less it be, in effect, marching orders to establish a new chapel! But Siwia wasn't going to argue with them. You didn't get orders by Arkangel Temperance herself and say 'no'. And so, she'd gathered her field team, and three others, giving her 8 other War Nuns to sit in the shuttle. Then there was the Angel Hephzibah, pacted by divine will and authority to Siwia herself. Rounding her entire party to a 10 person affair, herself included. As they stepped off the shuttle, the first thing Hephzibah did was sneeze.

"Divines, the place practically reeks of the unfaithful!" The angel complained, rubbing her nose. "That or a demon ejaculated in here..." She muttered, wings twitching behind her in agitation.

Approaching the newly arrived clergy, a man with a clipboard. "Hello and welcome to Eselberg Station, I'll be handling your processing." He'd already been halfway across the deck plating when the passengers stepped out, and was thrown back by the sight, but quickly schooled himself back into the bored worker facade he was used to having. "First and foremost. Eselberg Station is officially declared as a free station by the United Alliance of Neutral Systems. What this means is that while we exist in UNS space, we are not expected to uphold their laws. Those in charge of the station however, have opted to do so for simplicity. Second, the station is denoted as being 'True Neutral Ground'. If you have issues with people from another culture or nation present on the station at this time, you are to keep it to yourself. Failure to follow this tenet will result in immediate and permanent expulsion of the offender after review of the inciting incident on the station." He said, not really looking at his clipboard as he recited the two most important things visitors needed to know.

"Now, I need to ask a few questions." He continued, now looking up at the group who had formed up behind the one who had what looked like, to the man, an angel at her shoulder. "What is the nature of your visit to our station?" He asked, pulling out a pen and preparing to write.

"We're here to establish a chapel to the Deity of Order, Equalibria, on this station." Siwia said, nodding politely.

"Do you have any weapons you wish to declare before we put your things through the sensors for closer inspection?"

"We have several weapons in personal luggage bags, each is assigned to a specific War Nun. We also have a crate which holds a stock of ammo and materials to maintain those weapons as well."

"I see. Thank you for that. Are there any specific dietary requirements we need to be aware of while you are aboard?"

"We are all standard Zuphin. Hephzibah is a member of the Heavenly Host and is able to sustain herself on standard zuphin fare as well."

"Alright, thank you. If you ladies will politely step into the decontamination chamber, we just want to be sure there isn't anything too wild on your bodies that could bring the station to a standstill. In the meantime, I'm going to start getting your luggage moved to the inspection section for checks and decontamination as well."

"Thank you sir." Siwia replied whilst bowing slightly to the man who just shrugged as he got to work directing the team of suited workers over to the cargo bay hatch on the shuttle. Looking at the rest of her retinue, she smiled. "Let us see what our new congregation is like." She said with a hint of forced cheer in her voice as the group walked towards the elevator.

In the med bay, Verena and Lotara chatted in Tarkus's office. The doctor was writing notes until he fell asleep, so the sisters decided to send him home while they closed up. "He's been working too hard." Verna continued.

Lotara smirked. "Bout time he got serious and did real work."

Verena smacked Lotara's shoulder playfully. "Oh, be nice. He has…" She stopped speaking and both sisters looked towards the shuttle bay.

Lotara let out a long, exasperated sigh. "You've got to be shitting me. One of Temperance's cronies." She said noting the aura of the other angel.

“Not in the way that you think at least, but I can’t explain exactly. There is so much about from before that we can’t remember. That being said, I know more than this to get you purring dear, if you want to extend our personal time some more.~”, came the slightly sultry response of Setsuya as she worked the brush diligently. It was not very often they got more than occasions like this, or to really cut loose on a personal level.

A small chime from her desk, and the pulse of an amber color light, made the nekomata sigh in annoyance however. “Of course I’m puss blocked right as I even suggest it. I swear, everyone is just mean to us kitties when we want to play.”, she said in a mock pout. Flicking on the display, was directed feed of a bunch of armed…. Nuns?? “Um, I don’t like any part of this.”

Elenor murred as the brush stopped. "What is it naooow?" She groaned, voice cracking slightly into a meow as she did, pushing herself up from sitting on the floor next to Set's desk, and looking at the display. There's a couple of blinks before a low angry yowl started in her throat. "WAR NUNS?! THE BITCH SENT, FUCKING WAR NUNS?!" She hissed as she began to point to the display. "Fuck. My. Life." She finished, hitting a switch to open a new channel. "Verena and Lotara. Admin office. Now." She said, as the intercom chimed near where the twin sisters were.

The girls turned towards the intercom when the call came. Lotara sighed once more. "We are on our way." Both of the angels stood and began making their way to the administrative offices. The entire walk there Verena was tense. "It'll be fine. They can't do anything. Besides, our dear brother wouldn't let them take you away."

Verena nodded but remained unconvinced, her anxiety almost palpable. A few minutes later they had arrived at Setsuya's office. "Have they said what they want yet?" Lotara asked as soon as she was through the door. Verena moved off the other side of the room, arms wrapped around herself.

A Small screen was flipped on in the center of the desk, before the feline woman tapped away at the terminal controls. Bringing up the recorded statement as well as results of the security scans, eyed them over. “According to the sheet here, to “to establish a chapel to Equilibria” it seems. For a deity of order, their followers seem to be packing heat like anarchists with an anti-establishment fetish.”, was Setsuya’s reply. Despite the joke, it held no humor as she was still rather annoyed at the interruption.

Lotara grimaced in turn. "Then Temperance has sent her spies to set up shop. She is Equilibria's Arkangel after all." The elder angel replied.

Elenor grunted, arms crossed. "Spies, I could call them insurgents considering that particular bitch. Still, we have to uphold our part of the neutrality pacts. Meaning we can't just boot 'em off without just cause." Elenor replied, bringing a hand up to work the bridge of her nose for several moments. "I'm sure they'll be informed that they need to register themselves here, especially to set up a business. Meaning meeting Sets. Sorry dear. And I don't want to show, favoritism, despite sure as hell feeling it. So, call it a half hour. You two have more inside knowledge and understanding of War Nuns. Let's fill Sets in. Because once they get here, I will be working rather hard to keep a polite smile on my face."

Lotara looked to Verena, who could only nod meekly. "The War Nuns are the militant arm of Equilibria's church. Equilibria is the god of Order. Keeping the peace, and crushing anything that would disturb it. While the priests would preside over civil disagreements, it's the Nuns who go after the true threats to Equilibria's order. They are also commanded by Temperance herself." Lotara explained. Verena cleared her throat next. "They are ruthless. They will do whatever they believe is necessary to bring about Order." She whispered, a hint of contempt in her voice.

"Also, since I never got a chance to ask one myself... Why do they look like they're wearing skin-tight latex habits? I mean, for an order of warrior women for the church, seems kind of weird to, well, sex them up like that." Elenor asked, gesturing to the still image of the group in the elevator. "Also, they have an angel as well. I'm guessing, since they're part of this little gathering, they've got a pact?"

Lotara looked to the image. "That would be Temperance's doing. If you haven't noticed she is…" She paused to think of the right word when Verena answered for her. "A pervert. And to answer your second question, yes. Most likely the leader is pacted with them."

Elenor sighed. "Right. Perverted boss gets to decide the dress code. Do we need to worry about any particular oaths or such? I mean, considering some of what goes on, on the station, just wanting to put up warning signs. 'No sex here' kind of thing."

Verena stepped closer to the desk. "When they come up here, don't allow them in sway when it comes to station laws." She stopped wringing her hands before she continued. "If they get a chance to use their laws on the station's inhabitants, then you better buy a lot more body bags."

"Right." Just as Elenor said that, the door chimed, and the display on Sets desk changed from that of the still image, to two standing outside the door. The one who looked to be the leader... And the angel with her. "Well Sets, we ready for this headache to our day?" She asked, gesturing for the twins to join Elenor behind the desk and to the side.

She only gave a deep groan in reply, before switching the displays off. “Yeah might as well. I want to get back to us time, so I hope they don’t try and drag this out.” Waving them over, she prepared to signal the opening of her office door. With a quick straightening of her uniform, she pressed the button.

As the door opened, Siwia and Hephzibah stepped into the room, Siwia giving a polite bow of her head as she did, while the Hep paused and blinked at the situation. And promptly brought a hand up to her nose to pinch it close in disgust.

"Greetings madam. I was informed that I needed to speak with you to establish a chapel to Equilibria on board your station. May I ask who the... other woman is?" She clearly wanted to say something else but stopped herself from doing so. Which was certainly odd for a War Nun, who, as the twins pointed out, are not known for discretion.

The sisters stood on either side of Setsuya, watching the pair as they entered. Both of their eyes were drawn to Hep's as she brought a hand to her nose. Lotara smirked while Verena's face remained neutral.

“My boss, and the station owner, who I work on the behalf of. So in the sake of everyone being on the same page, and the delicate nature of this meeting. She is present as required. Now as for your request for a chapel, I will approve it under a very clear set of conditions, and understandings.” The reply was calm, yet firm, directly serious as she spoke. She was not in the mood for such spiteful behavior, wondering if these heavenly agents had better behavior then the petulant children they seemed to behave as in her eyes.

“First and foremost, your weapons can be carried, but are to remain chamber empty and locked to safe unless needed for self defense. Security does not take kindly to unnecessary firearm usage, and saber rattling. Second, you will abide by all laws here on the station, and by extension within this system. Your chapel and cohort is here in religious representation only, do I make myself clear?”, she continued with eyes pointed. Her eyes shifted between the two every few seconds, clearly not amused by the gesturing of one of them.

Siwia nodded. And promptly elbowed the angel beside her. "I understand. We have no intention of causing conflict or creating friction. If your security so wishes, we are willing to store our arms in their care." She said, which the twins would realize very quickly, that was a red flag. The War Nuns are never this friendly, nor did they just 'give' their weapons to others. "I do apologize for my companion's antics. She is, more prone to distaste with those not of our faith than most. Though she seems quite intent on making a fool of herself this day." She continued.

Hepz sighed, unpinching her nose with a heavy sigh. "Fine. I'll play nice with the demon-tainted bitch." She said, "I can't believe we have to play nice with a witch. One pacted to a demon of lust no less!"

Siwia elbowed the angel again. "Enough! We have our orders from the Arkangel. I for one have no intention of angering her, or the Heavenly Courts by our disobeying them."

At the notion of the Nuns giving the weapons to security, she had to stop herself from scoffing. They were definitely hiding something. "Is that so? Then you wouldn't mind us searching your belongings as well. To make sure you don't have anything else up your sleeve…"

In a rare stroke of snarkiness, Verena pointed to the Nun. "Not those sleeves though. You couldn't hide a thing in something that tight."

Elenor snorted. "I mean, with those harness rigs, they can carry a lot, but they can't hide shit with those outfits." She said, joining Verena's quip.

Siwina narrowed her eyes. "The others chose ways to modify their attire while still upholding the tenets established by the Arkangel Temperance."

Elenor couldn't help herself. "Oh, so the boss did decide you had to look like a sex object!"

Lotara looked pointedly at Verena but she was already on a roll. ‘She's been hanging around Tarkus too much.’ She thought. Verena snickered. "Oh she most assuredly did. Do you not feel her lecherous gaze on you at all times?"

Lotara finally cut in. "That's enough sister." She said, leaving no room for argument.

Setsuya, taking her turn finally gave a firm slap to her favorite witchy rear, “Knock off the shit please! Stop causing trouble before I sit you in the corner.” Turning back to the two women before her again, a clear look of annoyance on her face as she did, began to continue business. “Given the advisement, and my duty to make sure all security concerns are addressed. We will have you all thoroughly searched for contraband and unlisted items. Any disturbances, or falsehoods will be met harshly under the law. I expect you all to be on your best behavior as residents here.”

Elenor 'eeped' in surprise as her butt was slapped by Sets. "Fine..." She grumbled.

Siwina also nodded. "Yes Ma'am." She said, glaring at Hepzibah who finally sighed and nodded as well. "We shall do as you wish." She said, before turning and stepping towards the door. Stopping and reaching back to grab the angel's wing and drag her out of the office, all while Hepzibah was busy glaring at Elenor, Verena and Lotara.

Verena, remembering herself, looked away sheepishly. Lotara though returned Hepzibah’s glare, daring her to try and step out of line.

“Thank you for your understanding ladies, please enjoy you residency, and I look forward to being neighbors.”, Setsuya called as the two left. Turning to the two misbehavers in the room, “You were on the money, but it was in bad taste given the need for tact. Now is there anything else that we need to discuss, or can we get back to business?” It was clear that she was just happy it was over, and that the room was only the four of them again.

Elenor shook her head. "Besides warning Klaus he's gonna need that super mug of coffee under his desk he thinks he's so clever about hiding, nothing I can think of currently. Other than getting back to that us time. My tail still needs its application of brush." She said, smiling as she opted to find an open spot on Sets desk to sit on so the other neko had easy access to her tail.

The two angels let out sighs simultaneously. Verena mumbled an apology and made for the door. Lotara called out for her, but she was already gone. “You’ll have to forgive Verena. Temperance was…” She paused and shook her head. “Let’s just say they are things we had wished to never bring up again.” Lotara said, eyes downcast. “We’ll be in our quarters if you’ve need of us. We’d best warn Tarkus before he tries something stupid.” With that she turned to leave as well.

The administrator, taking her chance as the door closed, pulled Elenor into her lap instead. “We’re going to be doing a lot more then brushing now. This is a much better seat anyways, and I need to destress now.”, she said into her ear as one hand grabbed the previously slapped cheek. Finishing the brushing of the tail across her thighs now, as the hand enjoyed it’s prize, “This is a nice start.”
